Thema: (Gelöst) Suse 10.0 als Printserver nutzen

Hi,

ich hab mal wieder ein Problem.
Ich wollte meinen "Server" auch als Printserver für alle Rechner im Netzwerk einrichten.
Bin nach folgendem Howto vorgegangen :

Das Problem ist nur:
Ich finde den angeschlossenen Drucker sowohl im Windows als auch unter Suse, Druckaufträge werden aber nicht abgearbeitet, d.h. die stehen ewig und 3 Tage in der Warteschlange.

Ich hatte die Einträge in der cupsd.conf erst wie im Howto beschrieben, da habe ich aber den Drucker noch nicht einmal finden können.

In der Firewall sind Samba, IPP und NFS freigegeben.
Benötige Windowsuser haben auch Sambafreigaben.

Also ich kann inzwischen unter Suse drucken.
Hab scheinbar vergessen cups zu restarten.
Windows geht aber immer noch nihct, und ich hab inzwischen ca. 5 Neustarts hinter mir.

Ok...ist gelöst.
Es hat nur funktioniert, indem ich die Windowstreiber aus dem Printserver verfügbar gemacht habe.
Wenn ich die Treiber von Windows genommen habe, hat er zwar den Drucker installiert, aber funktioniert hat es trotzdem nicht

Keine Ahnung, ob ich das darf....ich setz jetzt einfach mal ein "(Gelöst)" in den Titel, müssen ja nicht noch mehr Leute Arbeit mit haben.

Wieso sinnlos?

Auch wenn die Lösung recht "trivial" war, ist ein Thread, welcher ein von einem User selbst gelöstes Problem mit Darstellung der Lösung enthält, alles andere als nicht sinnlos, sondern vielleicht für jemand Anderen eine wertvolle Information.

Manchmal sieht man halt vor lauter Bäumen den Wald nicht, "shit happens".
