Thema: SuSE10.2_SonyNotebook_Störender Dauerton nach Installation

Hi Forum,
Notebook Sony PCG-Fr285E,
lief mit Win XP pro und SuSE 10.0 KDE ohne Probleme,
nach Neuinstallation SuSE 10.2 KDE höre ich stets eine rythmische Dauerberieselung, hört sich wie ein Herzton nach 1000m-Lauf an.
Grafik und Sound wurden erkannt bei der Installation.
Natürlich kann ich den Ton stumm schalten - nutzt nur als Workaround, sonst kann man das nicht aushalten. Habe die Installation 3x durchgeführt, Fehler bleibt. Mit und ohne Online-Update, Fehler bleibt.
Alle Updates Stand heute sind installiert.
Oute mich diesbezüglich als Troubleshooting-NoCheckerin, und bin dankbar für jeden Hinweis,

Vielleicht findest Du in den logs ein paar Infos:

Folgende Neuigkeiten,
erstens aus meiner /var/log/messages:
Jan 8 11:17:08 PCNAME kernel: ALSA sound/core/pcm_native.c:1510: playback drain error (DMA or IRQ trouble?)
zweitens: nach Neustart verschwand der Ton, der in der Tat Sound und kein BIOS-Ton ist. Habe dann testweise als User versucht, die /var/log/messages zu öffnen im Konquerer: schaltet sich der Ton wieder ein.
Scheint also(?) ein Alarm zu sein?
Hast Du eine Idee, wo ich den zugehörigen Schalter finde, wenn es denn 2) ist?

=> So ist es, das war der "Alarm", daß Du als User keinen Zugriff auf diese Datei hast.

Normalerweise kommt da eben eine Warnmeldung, daß man nicht berechtigt ist. Dein System scheint nur diese Warnmeldung nicht mehr abzuschalten.

Der erste Hinweis liegt übrigens hier:

	  sample rates (e.g. 44.1kHz of mp3 playback), please let us
	  know the PCI subsystem vendor/device id's (output of
	  "lspci -nv").
	  If dxs_support=5 does not work, try dxs_support=4; if it
	  doesn't work too, try dxs_support=1.  (dxs_support=1 is
	  usually for old motherboards.  The correct implementated
	  board should work with 4 or 5.)  If it still doesn't

beschrieben sind, musst Du im Bios durchführen, oder auch ein BIOS Upgrade machen.

Hi Jacko,
habe BIOS-Update durchgeführt, Fehler bleibt bestehen. Ist ein Phoenix-BIOS, an dem leider nicht so sehr viel einzustellen ist.
Hmm...
Es muß ein Fehler an meinem Rechner sein, davon gehe ich aus. Der Ton entsteht bei nichtberechtigtem Zugriff. Fällt Dir noch etwas ein?

Richtig, wie var/log/messages eindeutig wiedergibt, ist es ein DMA oder IRQ Fehler.
