Thema: Bildschirm aufloesung

hallo,

Heute habe ich openSUSE 10.2 auf meinem Laptop (ACER Aspire 1640) installiert,
Es funktioniert alles prima, die netzverbindung habe ich auch schon eingerichtet
aber ich kann die Bildschirmgroesse nicht aendern

Also unter "Arbeitsflaeche einrichten" -> "Anzeige" habe ich nur "1024x768" , "800x600" und "640x480" zur auswahl.
Ich habe einen 15,4'' Acer CrystalBrite TFT LCD Monitor, der mit der "1280x800" Aufloesung arbeiten sollte.
Im moment sieht alles so "unscharf" und mir tun die Augen weh wenn ich so arbeiten muss

In dem "Yast" panel, unter "Hardware" -> "Grafikkarte & Monitor" steht bei den "Eigenschaften" die Aufloesung 1280x800(WXGA) und Farben (16.7 Mio.(24Bit)
aber am Desktop will das nicht funktionieren.

Ich bin ein "Newbie" auf der Linux platform, deswegen kenne ich mich hier nicht so gut aus.

Also 2 Fragen:
1.Wie kann ich die Bildschirmaufloesung aendern
2.Und wie kann ich Treiber installieren?
im moment benutze ich die Treiber die im Linux integriert sind.

Ok, ich schlage vor, Du schilderst uns erstmal den aktuellen Stand (wegen der Änderung im andren Thread http://www.pc-forum24.de/system-konf...html#post13377) nochmal.

Also, öffne eine Konsole und poste und bitte die Ausgaben der folgenden Befehle:

Ist zwar für Debian, aber xorg.conf ist xorg.conf, sollte sich also anpassen lassen.

Und "Treiber" in dem Sinne brauchst Du dafür gar keine installieren, alles schon da.

1. er hat ein anderes system als ich
2. er hat debian
3. er weiss was er macht!

Sagte ich bereits und mit dem Zusatz "Sollte sich _übertragen_ lassen".

Also was hast Du _genau_ gemacht und welche Fehlermeldungen gab es?

Was steht in der Datei /var/log/Xorg.0.log (nur für root lesbar)?

Zu 2.

Du wiederholst Dich, aber xorg.conf ist eine Datei, die es auf SuSE genauso gibt wie bei Debian. Also, was ist denn Deiner Meinung nach der gravierende Unterschied zu Debian?

Sicherlich wirst Du die entsprechenden Passagen der xorg.conf und die Fehlermeldungen beim Laden der Kernelmodule zitieren können, wo es total anders aussah, oder?

Zu 3.

Da muß ich Dir allerdings recht geben, aber was das Hauptproblem ist, nicht mal wir wissen, was Du gemacht hast.

Dieses Problem kann nur einer lösen, nämlich Du selbst, indem Du es postest.

Ein

ist jedenfalls keine Beschreibung, mit der man etwas anfangen kann, es sei denn, Dir genügt als Antwort:

"Dann hast Du wahrscheinlich etwas falsch gemacht".

Ich versuche Dir zu helfen, auch wenn es für mich einfacher wäre zu schreiben "Du hast eine andere Grafikkarte als ich".

Wenn Dir das lieber ist, dann kann ich das aber gerne tun, erspart mir Zeit und Arbeit.

Okey.. also es hat sich nicht veraendert als ich das gemacht was unter :
dri & openGL mit dem i915 - linuxforen.de -- User helfen Usern stand.
Es gab keine fehlermeldung, garnichts.

konnte ich nicht bei "/etc/modules" anhaengen, weil ich den ordner nicht hab, und ich weiss garnicht woher soll ich die module finden.

Dann habe ich das gespeichert, und neustart gemacht.
Es ist nichts passiert, alles war wie immer, die aufloesung kann ich immer noch nicht aendern.

Es hat nichts geholfen, also habe ich jetzt mein backup von "xorg.conf" wieder reingemacht.

Das "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" kann ich hier nicht posten (Zu viele Zeichen)

1. Nimm die Aktuelle xorg.conf

2. Kopiere sie Dir in Dein Home-Verzeichnis und bearbeite die KOPIE so, wie Du meinst es wäre OK.

3. Poste die veränderte Kopie.
