Thema: HP Deskjet 840C Yast2 SuSE 11.1

Hallo allerseits,

nachdem mein HP Laserjet kaputt gegangen ist, habe ich einen alten HP Deskjet 840C am USB-Port meines Rechners angeschlossen. Auf dem Rechner läuft SuSE Linux 11.1. YaST2 erkennt den Drucker nicht und gibt eine Fehlermeldung aus. Unter Details sieht man den Grund für die Fehlermeldung:

Die Softwarepakete hplip, hplip-hpijs, filters, foomatic-filters sind übrigens installiert. Daran kann es also nicht liegen.

Trotzdem erkennt Yast2 den Drucker nicht, und somit kann ich nicht drucken. Ich wäre dankbar, wenn mir jemand weiterhelfen kann.

Allerdings wird seit heute nachmittag der Drucker von Yast wieder erkannt und funktioniert sehr gut. Also ist das nicht mehr so wichtig. Und das ohne mein Zutun.

Hallo,

Wenn der Drucker jetzt wieder läuft, ist ja erst mal gut.
Spätestens im Detember solltest Du sowie von 11.1 auf eine andere Version umsteigen. Da im Dezember die Unterstützung für 11.1 ausläuft. Mal sehen was der Drucker dann z.B. unter 11.3 „sagt“.
