Thema: ATI Radeon 9550 Graka-Treiber

Hallo,
ich habe eine Grafikkarte von Club-3D, eine ATi Radeon 9550, und möchte die 3D Unterstützung aktivieren damit ich auch 3D spiele zocken kann und nach dem ich mich schlau gemacht habe, hebe ich heraus gefunden das ich den Treiber noch installieren muss (habe suse 10.2 seit 1 week). Also habe ich auch das tread: "Howto Nvidia und Ati Grafikkarten" gelesen und auch befolgt, hatte auch keine Probleme, aber am ende nach dem eintippen von "fglrxinfo" kam folgendes heraus:

Und an dieser stelle wunderte ich mich schon ein bisschen warum da Mesa stand! und XFree hatte ich auch installiert :

Nachdem die potentielle Unordnung, welche durch Installation von irgendeinem xfree86-Paket entstanden ist, aufgräumt wurde, solltest Du Dir vielleicht mal das hier ansehen.

Bei mir läuft eine Radeon 9700 Mobility mit dem mitgelieferten OSS "radeon"-Treiber und 3D-Beschleunigung, das geht auch ganz bestimmt mit Deiner 9550.

Vorher ein BACKUP der xorg.conf anlegen und dann kanns losgehen.

Ich habe auch den tread angesehen den RM entfohlen hat, und wen ich richtig verstanden habe sol ich mein sistem upgraden(?), und einen mitgelieferten OSS treiber finde ich auch nicht (von suse oder Ati?). da ich sehr microsoft gewöhnt bin dachte ich man kann ja einfach die Treiber von Mesa deinstallieren (da keine 3d Unterstützung) und die von ATi neuinstallieren (in der Hoffnung das die 3d Unterstützung funzt) oder?

Du hast doch eine 10.2, oder?

Einfach die Karte einrichten und ggf. die Option Load "dri" nachtragen, da muß nichts extra installiert werden.

und wieder in den graphischen Modus.
Sollte sich die 3D-Beschleunigung nicht aktivieren lassen, dann nachträglich die Option Load "dri" einfügen (Texteditor als root gestartet und die xorg.conf editieren), wie in dem Link gezeigt. Spätestens nach einem erneuten Login (Neustarten ist was für "Microsoft-Verwöhnte" *g*) sollte die Karte mit 3D laufen.

Dauert keine 5 Minuten.

nach dem ich versucht habe die Karte einrichten sind seltsame streifen auf dem Monitor erschienen und die Maus hat es verschoben (wen der pfeif am oberen rand war sie in Wirklichkeit ca. 7 cm darunter) und wen ich mich abgemeldet habe ist der Bildschirm schwarz geblieben (=> hammer neustart) , also habe ich an dieser stelle das alte (backup) xorg.conf über die konsole mit dem modifizierten ausgetauscht, und alles ging wieder.
Und den link wo beschrieben wird wie man dieOption Load "dri" einfügt habe ich auch nicht gefunden..

3. Klar kann man das erneut versuchen, indem man das fglrx-Paket entfernt und erneut baut/installiert, aber Du solltest vielleicht eher nach Möglichkeiten suchen, wie Du Deine jetzige Installation auf Vollständigkeit überprüfen kannst.
