Thema: (Erledigt) Mausmodell auswählen fehlt ??

Hi,
ich wollte heute meine Mauseinstellungen änder, da ich eine 8 Button Maus besitze, aber ich im Moment nicht alle Tasten nutzen kann.
Natürlich hab ich dies über Yast probiert, ABER : wenn ich auf Mausmodell auswählen klicke passiert.....NICHTS.....

Ich bin zwar kein absoluter Anfänger, habe aber überhaupt keine Ahnung was ich jetzt machen soll?

P.S: Habe Suse 10.1

kannst Du SaX2 direkt aufrufen? Dies geht entweder über Konsole als Root

2. Heute vielleicht den ATI-Treiber installiert?

(Dann gehts nämlich NICHT mehr mit sax2)

Habe ich als root getestet, negatives Ergebnis

Ich besitze eine Geforce 6800, von Nvidia, habe aber gestern den Treiber dafür erfolgreich installiert.

Habe den Befehl auch mal über K-menü anklcicken probiert, dasselbe Ergebnis.

Ach ja besitze eine Mx 510, hatte ja eigentlich nur vor die restlichen Tasten benutzen zu können :P

Ich nehme mal an, "Mx 510" ist eine Logitech Maus?

Die "Allwissende Müllhalde" sagt dieses dazu.

Ob allerdings sax2 mit (erfolgreich) installiertem Nvidia wirklich nicht mehr gehen soll, wage ich zu bezweifeln, dazu müssen sich aber die Nvidia-Kenner hier äussern, da ich ATI-Karten verbaut habe.

Genau nach diesen Anleitungen wollte ich ja die Mauseigenschaften ändern, ich komme halt nur dorthin nicht mehr.... sax2 muss eigentlich funktionieren, da die Nvidiatreiber ohne Probs funktionieren.

Mir wäre das Ganze so nie aufgefallen, aber ich habe nun kein Plan wie ich Sax2 wieder zm laufen brfinge..
Ach bei der Nvidia-treiber Installation musste ich irgenwie Kernel kompilieren oder so?
Kann es da Probleme mit geben ?

Das sind Meldungen, wie ich sie liebe.

Ohne Fehlermeldungen (falls vorhanden) wird das nix.

Was man bei einem NVidia-Treiber machen muss, weiß ich nicht, aber dazu gibts Anleitungen/HowTos zu Hauf im Netz.

Aber eines ist sicher, man muß KEINEN eigenen Kernel kompilieren, vielleicht ein Kernelmodul, weshalb man die installierten Kernelquellen braucht, das sind aber 2 Paar Stiefel.

Wenn ein Programm nicht läuft, dann sind Fehlermeldungen/Logs das A&O.

1. Kannst Du sax2 in Runlevel 3 starten?

3. Welcher Treiber von NVidia (genaue Version)

"Irgendwie" und "Irgendwas" hilft nicht weiter, detaillierte Infos schon.

Nicht, daß ich Dir sofort bei Deinem NVidia-Sax2-Maustreiber-Problem zu 100% helfen kann, aber WENN es jemand kann, dann braucht auch der Details.

Wenn Du als root aus der Kommandozeile sax2 wie oben beschrieben aufrufst, welche Fehlermeldung erscheint dann?
